Public Comment Now Open for +Vantage Vinyl™ Version 4.1 Update

We’re thrilled to announce that +Vantage Vinyl™ is opening a public comment period for Version 4.1 of our sustainability standard. This update builds on the successful release of Version 4.0 during Vinyl Week’s Sustainability Summit and reflects our commitment to inclusivity across the vinyl industry.

What’s Changing?

Earlier this year, the members of the Vinyl Sustainability Council voted to allow non-member participation in +Vantage Vinyl. Version 4.1 incorporates this change by updating language throughout the standard from “Member” to “Participant” and making other inclusive changes. These are the only changes included in this review.

Why It Matters

Sustainability is a shared responsibilityand progress accelerates when more voices are at the table. By opening participation to non-members, we:

Increase Transparency: Allowing broader participation ensures that sustainability standards reflect the realities of the entire industry, not just a subset.

Drive Industry-Wide Impact: Sustainability goals require collective action. Inclusivity helps align efforts across the value chain, from raw material suppliers to end-product manufacturers.

Foster Continuous Improvement: More participants mean more ideas, more accountability, and stronger momentum toward circularity and responsible practices.

This change is about creating a bigger tent for sustainability. The more stakeholders involved, the stronger and more resilient our industry becomes.

How to Participate

The public comment period is now open! We invite you to review the proposed changes and share your feedback:

Comment Period Opens: December 17th, 2025

Comment Period Closes: January 17th, 2026

THE COMMENT PERIOD IS NOW CLOSED.

Your input is essential as we continue to strengthen +Vantage Vinyl and drive sustainability forward. Thank you for being part of this journey.
