Deceuninck Leads Responsible Resource Management
Deceuninck North America establishes itself as a leader in innovation within the window and door industry by embracing the latest technologies, innovations, and manufacturing methods. The organization produces profiles and extrusions for a variety of market segments, including residential, multi-family, and light commercial buildings that are designed to enhance the performance of a home or building; to reduce its overall energy consumption by decreasing thermal transmittance; and to serve as a viable, long-lasting solution.
Closing the Loop
Deceuninck employs a closed-loop recycling system within the production process to promote sustainability and resilience through its entire product line. In addition, the organization collects internal production and window fabricator scrap material, which consists of PVC waste generated during fabrication that is then reintroduced into the production process.
Carefully managed in a closed-loop environment, the material undergoes a reclamation process where the PVC is ground to small pieces of recycled PVC material. This material is then reused in the extrusion process as Deceuninck creates more products, which significantly reduces the environmental impact of the production process. By controlling the entire process within a closed-loop environment, Deceuninck guarantees quality and integrity of material.

GHG Emissions: The Path to Net Zero
In accordance with the Science Based Targets initiatives (SBTI), Deceuninck is committed to reducing its CO2 emissions by 60% by 2030. With anticipated growth in business, this equates to a reduction of up to 75% in CO2 for each ton of material produced. Deceuninck aims to be operating at net zero by the year 2050.
Deceuninck is also focusing on process improvements such as phasing out the use of fuel oil; increasing measurement and monitoring; avoiding compressed air leakages; and relighting, reinsulating, and replacing machinery in its facilities.
