Plastics Industry Association and The Vinyl Sustainability Council: Call for Presentations for 33rd Annual Vinyl Compounders Conference and Vinyl Sustainability Summit
Washington D.C. – June 7, 2023 — The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) and The Vinyl Sustainability Council (VSC) have announced a call for presentations for the 33rd Annual Vinyl Compounders Conference and the Vinyl Sustainability Summit, a collective gathering of industry professionals, thought leaders, and innovators in the vinyl industry.
“The vinyl industry is comprised of innovators and leaders who have a wealth of knowledge and expertise on a wide range of topics to share with our audience, including market trends and drivers, sustainability, and technology innovations,” said PLASTICS’ Vice President of Industry Engagement, Ashley Hood-Morley. “PLASTICS invites industry thought leaders to submit presentation proposals that will inform and inspire attendees at this year’s co-located, one-stop event.”
“We look forward to partnering again with PLASTICS on this important industry event,” said Jay Thomas, Executive Director of the Vinyl Sustainability Council. “Attendee feedback from last year’s conference confirmed that coupling the Vinyl Sustainability Summit with the Vinyl Compounders Conference provides a valued source of information and education for the vinyl industry.”
Interested presenters may submit their proposals here. Submissions must be received by July 15, 2023. Proposals will be reviewed, and notifications of acceptance will be sent out, by August 31, 2023.
The 33rd Annual Vinyl Compounders Conference and the Vinyl Sustainability Summit will be held December 4-6, 2023, at the Thompson Hotel in Austin, Texas. Registration will open later this summer.
Conference attendees represent companies including vinyl resin and plasticizer producers, compounders and formulators, and producers of industrial and consumer end-products.
This conference was attended by nearly 200 people in 2023. It marked the first time the Flexible Vinyl Products Division Industry Council of the Plastics Industry Association partnered with the Vinyl Institute’s Vinyl Sustainability Council to collocate the Vinyl Sustainability Summit and make it a one-stop event.
In 2023, the Vinyl Sustainability Summit will have one full day of sustainability-focused programming followed by PLASTICS’ 33rd Annual Vinyl Compounders Conference with two full days of programming centered around market trends and drivers, technology innovation, and business readiness.
