Since 2008, i2M has been reimaging the plastic film industry, manufacturing high-performance, innovative, and sustainable films in three categories: heavy duty, precision, and decorative.
ReNew: Recycling Champions
At i2M, the company serves as a recycler – bringing in materials, testing, processing, and formulating to achieve high-quality results. The launch of the ReNew product line included a variety of products that are comprised of recycled content such as pool liners and vinyl films. ReNew inground pool liners use a high-performance, luxury pool film made of 51% pre-consumer recycled content and certified by SCS Global, a world-class leader in third-party verification.
i2M also launched ReNew Champions, a full-service take-back program. The program provides customers with heavy duty bins where used liners can be collected, sent back to i2M, and recycled into new product. Gathered material is recycled into a diverse array of high-quality waterproofing membranes for the commercial and residential construction industries.
In 2023, i2M recycled 15 million pounds of post-industrial and post-consumer vinyl and was awarded the Recycler of the Year Award for the growth of ReNew Champions.
Empowering the Team: A Stronger Workforce
At i2M, its people are the drivers behind innovation and the ones responsible for creating sustainable practices that minimize environmental impact. i2M believes in creating a space where its people can thrive by giving those people the appropriate resources to be successful.
- i2E is a childcare partnership program with Building Blocks, designed to support the i2M team and families, specifically those in manufacturing working extended hours. i2E subsidizes daily childcare rates to provide high-quality childcare so that the i2M team can maintain long, successful careers in manufacturing.
- i2T is designed to eliminate disruption in the event of vehicle breakdown. The program provides 100% reimbursement for transportation costs to and from work for up to two months. The second and third tiers of i2T provide loans for vehicle repairs or even the purchase of a new vehicle.
The success of these programs has created greater workforce stability and fewer call offs.
In addition, i2M developed an apprenticeship program with a local high school and elementary school, Crestwood Creators. The program is designed to get elementary school students interested in STEM and recycling in manufacturing. After transforming a local school library into a STEM library, Crestwood Creators is offered as a class for students to learn about manufacturing and recycling and to participate in related projects. That program feeds into i2M’s high school Crestwood Creators program, which is offered to high school juniors and seniors. Students attend manufacturing classes at a local community college under a curriculum designed by i2M. Students of Crestwood Creators graduate with a certificate as an advanced manufacturing technician, allowing them to enter directly into the field upon graduating high school.
