Southwire Joins the Vinyl Sustainability Council

Washington, D.C., March 31, 2025 – The Vinyl Sustainability Council (VSC), a self-funded business council advancing sustainability in the vinyl industry, is proud to announce Southwire as its newest member. Southwire specializes in the production of wire and cable used in the transmission and distribution of electricity and employs over 10,000 workers across 64 locations. The company was founded in 1950 and is headquartered in Carrolton, Georgia.

Southwire is the first organization to join the VSC in 2025, following eight new members in 2024 and fifteen new members in 2023.
