PVC Summit to Increase Sustainability Focus
Baerlocher USA believes that education plays a critical role in advancing sustainability initiatives within the vinyl industry. To increase the technical knowledge and skills of scientists and engineers regarding polyvinyl chloride (PVC) formulations, additives, and processing, Baerlocher USA created the PVC Technical Summit in 2016. An annual event, it focuses on the fundamentals of PVC additives and technology, including trends, challenges, and solutions. The summit also explores case studies for rigid and flexible PVC applications.
Baerlocher USA hosts this event, which provides complimentary admission to attendees from organizations across the supply chain, including material and equipment suppliers, converters, extruders, compounder, profile manufacturers, and Baerlocher USA employees. The agenda features presentations by industry experts, interactive problem-solving exercises, and networking opportunities.
Since its inception, the PVC Technical Summit has covered topics that have included sustainability trends in the vinyl industry, bio-plasticizer blends, plastic recycling, volatile organic compounds, and PVC recycling.
Filling the Gap
Baerlocher USA continues to develop solutions that promote sustainable products and practices for industry issues.
