Vinyl Sustainability Council Issues Call for Entries for First-ever “Social Impact Award”

WASHINGTON, Oct. 14, 2020 – The Vinyl Sustainability Council (VSC), a self-funded business council advancing sustainability in the vinyl industry, has issued a call for entries for its first-ever “Social Impact Award” to be presented at its annual meeting in December.

“Social sustainability is one of the three pillars in the ESG model of corporate social responsibility,” said Jay Thomas, VSC Executive Director. “And the vinyl industry is committed to community health and safety as one of our own sustainability priority areas. We know our members are doing good in their communities, and it’s important that we emphasize and recognize these activities.”

The 2020 Social Impact Award recognizes the efforts of a VSC member that has demonstrated a strong commitment to their communities. It acknowledges a project or program that addresses a social concern utilizing a company’s resources to have a positive impact.

The VSC is taking award submissions until Nov. 13, 2020.

To be eligible for the 2020 Social Impact Award, organizations must:
